Character statistics - Primary Statistics

The primary statistics for a new character start at 1, but increase through age - both as a mortal, then later as a supernatural. Generally speaking they are trained up manually, but they will also be increased automatically as part of the training process.

  • Brawn (bra)

    Top

    Brawn represents the raw physical might of your character. Each point of Brawn gives you four points of HEALTH, one point of ATTACK, two points of DAMAGE, one point of POWER and increases your thrown range by one. Brawn is also used to determine how well you can handle encumbrance.

  • Grace (gra)

    Top

    Grace indicates the agility and hand-eye coordination of your character. Each point of Grace gives you four points of ATTACK, three points of DEFENCE, three points of ASCENDANCY and a third of a point of SPEED.

  • Mettle (met)

    Top

    Mettle is the toughness and overall fitness of your character. Each point of Mettle gives you six points of HEALTH, two points of RESISTANCE, one point of DEFENCE, one point of MANA and three points of PROTECTION.

  • Size (siz)

    Top

    Size represents the physical size and reach of your character. Each point of Size gives you one point of RESISTANCE, eight points of HEALTH, two points of DEFENCE, two points of ATTACK and one point of DAMAGE. Every three points of Size also increases your reach by one foot and reduces your DEFENCE by two.

  • Wits (wit)

    Top

    Wits indicates the mental alertness and reaction speed of your character. Each point of Wits gives you four points of DEFENCE, one point of ASCENDANCY, one point of POWER, one point of PROTECTION and two thirds of a point of SPEED.

  • Tenacity (ten)

    Top

    Tenacity reflects the strength of mind and force of personality of your character. Each point of Tenacity gives you four points of ASCENDANCY, one point of DAMAGE, three points of ATTACK, one point of POWER and one point of MANA.

  • Discipline (dis)

    Top

    Discipline indicates the mental resilience and mind-over-matter discipline of your character. Each point of Discipline gives you two points of HEALTH, four points of PROTECTION, one point of DAMAGE, two points of RESISTANCE and one point of MANA.

  • Aura (aur)

    Top

    Aura is the strength of the magical aura your character possesses. Each point of Aura gives you two points of ASCENDANCY, two points of PROTECTION, two points of POWER, three points of MANA and increases your spell range by one.
